This page says simply which data MANSA keeps about you, why, for how long, who receives it, and how to have it erased.

What we keep, why, for how long

  • Your account

    Data
    Email, display name, phone, language, country, country of origin, the « data saver » preference (the last three are optional).
    Why
    To sign you in, write to you, adapt the site.
    For how long
    Until you delete your account. An account created by MANSA but never used is deleted 90 days after its creation or its last invitation.

  • Your courses

    Data
    Progress, quiz results, exercise notes.
    Why
    So you can resume where you were.
    For how long
    Until you delete your account.

  • First contact with the AI

    Data
    Your messages and the AI's replies.
    Why
    To guide you in discovering AI.
    For how long
    Erased 365 days after your last activity, or when you delete your account.

  • Payments

    Data
    Order, amount, the Mobile Money number used to pay, the payment reference.
    Why
    To collect payment, send you a receipt, keep our accounts.
    For how long
    Accounting law requires these records to be kept for 10 years. When you delete your account, your name is erased and your number is masked; the raw payment notification is emptied after 365 days.

  • Discount requests

    Data
    Category, country, what you write.
    Why
    To decide on a discount.
    For how long
    Until you delete your account (the free text is then erased).

  • Training evaluation (if you fill one in)

    Data
    Your answers to the questionnaire, your free texts, the date, and whether you agree to be contacted.
    Why
    To improve the training, and to write to you if your opinion shows it did not suit you.
    For how long
    Until your account is deleted (the evaluation is then erased).

  • Testimony (if you write one)

    Data
    Your text, the display name, your profile, the date and version of your agreement.
    Why
    To show it on the site, after review.
    For how long
    Until you withdraw it, or you delete your account.

  • Sign-in and technical

    Data
    Your session (one cookie), the browser used, sign-in codes (stored in an irreversibly scrambled form), and, if you choose a scope on the Vision page, a preference cookie kept a year (a simple display choice).
    Why
    To keep you signed in, to secure access.
    For how long
    An expired session is deleted after 7 days; a sign-in code after 24 hours. Your IP address is not kept: it is only used to guess your country (to adapt the Vision page and to tell you if the payment methods may not suit you).

On what basis?

On your agreement. It is asked at your first sign-in: you confirm that you are 18 or have the agreement of a parent or legal guardian, and you accept this page. If it changes in a way that matters, we will ask you again.

Who receives your data?

Only the providers the service needs:

  • Netlify: hosting and running the site (United States).
  • Turso: the database (France, Paris).
  • Anthropic: the AI of First contact (United States). It receives what you write there and the assistant's instructions, never your name or email.
  • When Anthropic is unavailable, in this order: Google (Gemini, United States), Groq (United States), DeepSeek (People's Republic of China), Cerebras (United States). The same message is then sent to them, for the same purpose: producing the assistant's reply.
  • Resend or Google (Gmail): sending the emails (sign-in codes, receipts, invitations).
  • Notch Pay: payment by Mobile Money.

These providers are outside Cameroon: your data is transferred to the United States, to France and, when the previous AI providers are unavailable, to the People's Republic of China (DeepSeek). We send them only what is necessary; each keeps the data under its own terms.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction, its erasure, the limitation or the stopping of its processing, and receive a copy. Write to us: we answer as soon as possible.

You can also delete your account yourself from « Your account »: your identity and everything you wrote are erased; the accounting records are kept without your name.

You can withdraw your agreement at any time (by deleting your account or writing to us).

You can lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority (APDP) as soon as it is operational.

Security

Sign-in codes are stored in an irreversibly scrambled form. The connection uses HTTPS. Administration access is limited to MANSA's administrators and their actions are logged. Backup copies are made, then deleted.

Minors

The service is for people aged 18 and over. A minor may use it only with the agreement of a parent or legal guardian.

Cookies and trackers

No advertising or statistics trackers. One cookie only: your session, needed to stay signed in. Your lesson progress is also kept on your device, to work offline.
